Steam Ceremony (Banya)

The Steam Ceremony at Spiral is not just a sauna. It's a holistic ritual where body, breath, plants, fire, water, steam, sound, and space all become guides — leading you into a deeper connection with yourself and the present moment. It's a time to slow down, cleanse, and restore — carefully crafted by masters with deep attention to every participant.

What is the Spiral
Steam Ceremony?

1

Arrival & Intention Setting

We welcome you to the Spiral house with herbal tea and fresh fruits — a moment to ground, settle in, and tune into the process.

2

Steam Ceremony (1.5–2 hours)

Two rounds, six cycles of steam, carefully led by two steam masters:

  • gentle steam (from a wood-fired oven)
  • aromatic herbs (eucalyptus, wormwood, oregano, cypress)
  • deep work with the body, breath, and state
  • elements of sound healing (singing bowl, drum, voice)
  • careful work with oak branches by two steam masters, with individual attention to each guest
  • in between the rounds — immersion in the cool mountain levada (stream)

Integration

After the ceremony — rest inside the Spiral house: silence, tea, fruits, and a soft return to the body.
