1Service Provider
These Booking & Participation Conditions apply to enquiries, bookings and participation in wood-fired banya rituals ("Rituals") provided by Ruslan Trubchik, independent service provider (trabalhador independente), NIF 311270530, at Vereda da Cova 57, São Gonçalo, 9060-080 Funchal, Madeira, Portugal ("we", "us", "the Provider").
2The Ritual
The Ritual is a guided wood-fired banya (sauna) experience for groups of up to 8 participants, by prior arrangement only. The full experience lasts approximately 3 hours, including approximately 1.5–2 hours in the banya.
Depending on the session, the experience may include heat and steam, a traditional whisk massage, rest and hydration periods, and optional cold-water immersion.
3Informational Website and Booking Enquiries
The Spiral website is currently informational only. It does not provide online checkout, accept payment or automatically confirm bookings.
Booking enquiries may be made through WhatsApp, Telegram, e-mail or other contact channels displayed on the website. Sending an enquiry does not create a confirmed booking or guarantee availability.
4Prices
The current public price for an open Ritual is €120 per participant.
Private Rituals are priced per group: €460 for 2 participants; €640 for 3–4 participants; €800 for 5–6 participants; €960 for 7–8 participants.
The applicable total price and any agreed inclusions or variations will be communicated before the booking is confirmed. Any price shown on the website should be read together with the booking details confirmed directly by the Provider.
5Booking Confirmation and Payment
A booking becomes confirmed only when the Provider expressly confirms the date, price and applicable booking conditions to the customer and any payment or deposit agreed for that booking has been received.
Payment instructions are communicated directly to the customer outside the public website. The website itself does not collect or store payment-card details.
For group bookings, the person arranging the booking is responsible for communicating the relevant participation and safety information to the other participants.
6Cancellations and Changes by the Customer
If the customer cancels more than 48 hours before the scheduled start of the Ritual, they are entitled to a full refund, or to reschedule the Ritual (subject to availability within the following 7 days).
If the customer cancels between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled start of the Ritual, they are entitled to a 50% refund, or to reschedule the Ritual (subject to availability within the following 7 days).
If the customer cancels less than 24 hours before the scheduled start of the Ritual, no refund is due.
7Cancellation or Rescheduling by the Provider
We may cancel or reschedule a Ritual where it would be unsafe or unreasonable to proceed, including because of severe weather, fire risk, technical problems, illness of essential staff or other circumstances affecting safe operation.
Where we cancel a confirmed Ritual and cannot offer a suitable alternative date, amounts paid for the cancelled Ritual will be refunded.
An open Ritual takes place only if at least 4 participants have confirmed bookings. If this minimum is not reached, we will inform the booked participants at least 24 hours before the scheduled start and offer them either another date or a full refund of the amounts paid.
8Right of Withdrawal for Distance Bookings
Portuguese law generally provides consumers with a 14-day right of withdrawal for certain distance contracts. However, under Article 17(1)(k) of Decree-Law no. 24/2014, this right does not apply, unless otherwise agreed, to contracts for services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.
This legal exception is separate from any cancellation or rescheduling rights that we voluntarily grant under these Conditions.
9Health, Safety and Eligibility
Participation is limited to persons aged 18 or over unless the Provider expressly agrees otherwise in advance.
Before taking part, each participant must read and sign the Participant Information & Informed Consent form.
Sauna, significant heat exposure and cold-water immersion may not be suitable for everyone. Participants should seek appropriate medical advice before participation if they have a relevant medical condition or are uncertain whether the experience is suitable for them.
The informed-consent form contains the current health and safety declarations applicable to participation. Participants must provide truthful information relevant to safe participation.
Cold-water immersion is optional. A participant may leave the banya or decline any part of the experience at any time and must immediately tell a banya master if they feel unwell.
10Alcohol, Drugs and Guest Conduct
Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions given by the banya masters.
Participation while under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or other substances that may impair judgement or increase health risk is not permitted.
The Provider may refuse or stop participation where there are reasonable safety concerns or where a participant's conduct creates a risk to themselves or others.
Where participation is refused or stopped for these reasons, no refund is due.
11Responsibility and Liability
The Provider will take reasonable measures to conduct the Ritual safely and participants are expected to comply with the safety instructions provided.
Nothing in these Conditions excludes or limits liability, consumer rights or other legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Portuguese law.
The Participant Information & Informed Consent form is intended to document the nature of the activity, relevant risks and participant declarations; it does not waive rights or liabilities that cannot legally be waived.

Consumers may use the Portuguese Livro de Reclamações in accordance with applicable law.
